Supermarche Géant, Saint Michel-sur-Orge Whilst performing in the French town of Saint Michel-sur-Orge, Dewi managed to record the fururistic robotic automated checkout at the local Géant supermarket Amsterdam, Netherlands En route to the Dutch town of Haarlem, Alan stopped off for breakfast in Amsterdam and recorded the drone of an industrial street-cleaner in one of the city squares, which subsequently ended up as part of the track Jiřího z Poděbrad on the Species Corridor album. Haarlem, Netherlands While visiting the Dutch town of Haarlem for a Faust / FM Einheit concert, Alan recorded the oddly tuned church bells in the town square, which subsequently ended up as part of the track Jiřího z Poděbrad on the Species Corridor album. |

Ulmer Munster, Ulm, Germany A brief visit to Ulm resulted in some recordings from high up in the steeple of the World's highest church. Scheer, Southern Germany Alan found a very low railway bridge crossing the Danube, where it was possible to make recordings of the crossing trains from a point underneath mere centimetres from the rail. The resulting recording can be heard on the track Last Train to Medzilaborce on the Species Corridor album. |

Nürnberg, Germany En route to visit Martin Zet in Prague, Alan and Zoë stopped off in Nürnberg where various sounds of the city were recorded, and the local cuisine and beer was sampled. Lidice, Czech Republic En route to visit Martin Zet in Dul Mayrau, Alan and Zoë stopped off in Lidice, notorious site of the nazi massacre of June 10th 1942 when the entire town was razed to the ground. The eerie silence was duly recorded.

Dul Mayrau coal mine, near Vinarice Whilst visiting the Czech artist Martin Zet, Alan and Zoë managed to make a collection of recordings at the disused Dul Mayrau coal mine near Vinarice, where Martin was unveiling an installation. These recordings were subsequently used extensively on the Parking Non-Stop track Cold Star, as well as on the CD accompanying Zoë's book You Will Live in Your Own Cathedral. Jiřího z Poděbrad, Prague Alan spent a morning in PN-S's very favourite metro station recording station announcements and metro trains, which were then used on the track Jiřího z Poděbrad on the Species Corridor album. He also filmed people coming up and down the station's escalator, resulting in the film that has been used as part of PN-S live performances ever since..
