Whenever PARKING NON-STOP find themselves making field recordings in the Bialowieski National Park on the Polish-Belarus border, they never fail to sample the excellent local cuisine, sometimes visiting the HOTEL ZUBROWKA restaurant in Bialowieza to enjoy maybe Szynka z dzika w sosie z™urawinowym - Stewed wild boar ham in cranberry sauce served with roasted potatoes and braised vegetables, or perhaps Comber z sarny w sosie wis´niowym - Roe-deer's sadle of vension in cherry sauce served with onion rings and French bean (except for Dewi, who's a vegetarian), washed down, of course, with lashings of the finest Zubrowka Bison-grass vodka. The hotel itself is a fairly characterless modern building, but the food certainly makes up for that! |
