Parking Non-Stop first "major rock gig" took place on Sunday 4th April (the numerically significant 04/04/04) at the Temple Bar Music Centre in Dublin, where they played support to legendary German experimentalists Einstürzende Neubauten, as specially invited guests of the group themselves. Parking Non-Stop gave a 30 minute performance that contrasted sharply with March's two minimal low-volume sets, amplified as it was through Neubauten's fine sound system, and with Zoë back on bass after having concentrated on words at the previous recent shows. They very much enjoyed playing as well as having the chance to meet and talk to Einstürzende Neubauten, long time heroes of both Alan and Zoë (and now also of Dewi!) The Temple Bar Music Centre (visible broken door in picture was smashed by Einstürzende Neubauten's N.U.Unruh prior to their performance) |
